I make art as a medium for communication.
I transform words into a play on words, or
an image into a performance. I deliberately
present my work in a work-in-progress state,
with the implication that it could continue to
grow, or be rearranged into new configurations.
I choose a material approach that can be a play
of visual and formal signifiers - playing with the
idea of optical and physical illusion. I employ
the characteristics of poetry-a songlike
outpouring of my own thoughts and feelings,
expressing spontaneous, direct feelings and
deep emotions. Art is my lyric for truth.
