The genesis of this piece is Bach’s Goldberg variations. I was inspired by its transcendental force — its complexity, spirituality, emotion, magnetism, space, breath and tactility. Victor Hugo once said, "Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and cannot remain silent."
I have a strong need to express something that I cannot put into words, something that can only be intuited, felt, lived, from moment to moment.
